reproductive health and access act

Reproductive Health and Access Act (RHAA)
The Illinois Reproductive Health & Access Act was first introduced in the Illinois General Assembly in 2008. We continue to fight for its passage. This groundbreaking legislation that ensures that women have access to a continuum of choices throughout their reproductive lives – from honest sex education to access to quality birth control, prenatal care and the right to choose an abortion. The bill also guarantees that every woman is able to make her own personal decisions about when and whether to have a child without government interference.
The overarching goal of the Reproductive Health & Access Act is to guarantee that all women have as many responsible options as possible when it comes to making important personal decisions about their reproductive health care.
This bill will ensure that the government cannot interfere with women’s personal decision-making based on their own personal values and their doctors’ advice.
